Imagine a surreal alien summer in a surreal disco alien club. This is what Giuliano Calza envisioned his GCDS (Giuliano Calza Design Studio) 2023 Spring Summer Womens Runway Collection during Milano Moda Donna, Milan Fashion Week in Italy. SpongeBob SquarePants was there.

Mesh Hall: An airy design would be a perfect style for a knitted woven fishnet fabric. Add SpongeBob SquarePants and floral crochet patches to make it a conversational piece. Highlights include a cutout front mesh dress, a onesie poncho style dress with a balaclava hood, a halterneck gown, a set of arm warmers, a noodle strap bikini top, a loungewear wide leg baggy cargo pants, and a sexy fringed see through dress.
Denim: Destroyed jeans and destructed denim fabrics are the priority. Mix it up with dip dye colored treatments. We see a strapless open shoulders crop top midriff denim jacket, a pair of jean shorts cutoffs, a miniskirt with crystal chain logo, a frayed denim bralette and a long pencil cut tattered jean skirt.
SpongeBob: Who would have thought a cartoon character like SpongeBob SquarePants would make the runway? Well, here it is. The motif comes in embroidered shapes, printed visuals and shiny studded textures.
Playing Hooky: A large metal chain holds these fabric panels together. These are hooked elaborately and strategically to form an asymmetrical onesie jumpsuit and a one shoulder black eveningwear gown.
Bedazzled: Small details come in handy. The bralette is decorated with metal studs. The sporty onesie romper leotard has the jersey number in a glittering manner. Both the bomber jacket and miniskirt are adorned with mini logo trinkets that form like fringes and fur.
