Chalayan 2013-2014 Fall Winter Womens Runway Collection

Britain based designer Hussein Chalayan’s namesake label, Chalayan, exhibited his 2013-2014 Fall Winter Womens Runway Collection during Paris Fashion Week. Opening up the catwalk was a unique take on denim jeans evidenced through an ultra wide leg trouser with a turn up big fold rolled up bottom hem almost vibing a nautical sailor appeal. Outerwear prided itself with sleek leather and wool designs, A line shapes, futuristic ribbed threading, sofa couch quilted looks, form fitting pleats, a motorcycle biker edge and a lay down scarf on feature integrated into a side fold front. A distinct signature trouser design was a side outerlay draping combined with an inlay of colorful graphic printed or heavily adorned embellishment pants or slim skinny leggings. With that idea, an extension to the dresses showed off a side fold inlay color blocking feature which draped the front. For evening wear, ruffled collars and fully embellished 3D foliage leaves were a visual treat. From the presentation, we selected the top looks and our favorite pieces.
