The Uma Wang 2026 Spring Summer runway collection, unveiled during Paris Fashion Week, was deeply inspired by a recent vacation in Italy. It was specifically about the the cascading draping of fabric and veils rendered in marble at the Loggia di David. Wang explored the core theme of structure and softness in silhouettes that featured scaled-down volume and fluid gestures, employing fabric treatments that gave a weathered quality. The color palette evoked Tuscan stones and terracotta, appearing in standout looks such as the knit frayed hood, wide sleeved trench dress, and the oversized blazer pantsuit in a geometric pattern. Construction emphasized wrinkled fabrics and draping. A Song dynasty floral motif borrowed from 1,000 years ago was also subtly revealed. The collection culminated in dramatic pieces like the goddess gown in quicksilver silk and the oversized winged shoulder trench coat.
