The Kiko Kostadinov 2026 Spring Summer Womens Runway Collection presented at Paris Fashion Week Femme (PFW) was profoundly informed by the painting and quilting of Chicago artist Christina Ramberg. Designers translated Ramberg’s figures, defined by seams and bound by corsets, through a process of collage, layering, and geometry, embodying the concept of bricolage in fabrication. This approach resulted in a diverse range of pieces, showcasing both subtle and assertive constructions, highlighted by a near-constant use of right-angled triangles in seaming and detailing. Standout looks included the furry bricolage patchwork armor vest or corset and distinct diamond pattern knit dresses. The collection expertly created a textile translation of Ramberg’s forms, featuring unique garments like the Egyptian pyramid hood, sculptural necklines and cannon ball holes.
