The collection is about searching for humanity and human connection. Sarah Burton’s inspiration is the eye and Hieronymus Bosch’s The Garden of Earthly Delights artwork. The Alexander McQueen 2023 Spring Summer Womens Runway Collection was held at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich.

Denim: A jean jacket leotard with a cutout waist leads the way. Pair it up with a low rise jeans. We also see a cap sleeve denim top with contrast stitching. A polished peplum and a super thigh high slit boots give an edge.
Eyes Scream: The eye motif symbolized humanity, emotion and human connection. The graphic print visuals cover mostly the dresses and trouser suits. A butterfly shoulder black dress in draped asymmetrical hem catches attention.
Renaissance: The Garden of Earthly Delights is one of the famous triptych oil paintings on oak panel painted by the Early Netherlandish & Renaissance master Hieronymus Bosch. The satin stitch embroidery and visual paradise engulf an asymmetrical mini dress and a wide band strapless gown.
Funsie Onesie: Continuing with Hieronymus Bosch’s artwork was a cutout onesie unitard playsuit. Following that was Naomi Campbell wearing a bodysuit in black mesh with satin stitch, sequins and crystal eye embroidery.
Pantsuit Riot: We see a white pantsuit with wide leg pants in an eye motif. The tuxedo jacket style top has a slit dovetail at the back and a low-waisted trousers. The pantsuit became a onesie coverall with two black styles. One has a sexy cutout waist while the other was similar to a boilersuit mechanic uniform.
Asymmetry: The dresses came in asymmetrical hems and draped on one side. One sleek piece is a blue strapless. The other is a deconstructed one shoulder blazerdress with draped hem.
Scissor Cutouts: One of the major trends this season are cutouts, slits and slashed perforations. For this collection, we saw a turtleneck halter top long gown in tiered slits at the bottom and slashed waists. Another piece is a blazerdress with cut out parts. Finally, a strapless peel away mesh gown showed several cuts. Take note of the intricate embroidery.
